Also known as the frontman for IKILLYA. Also known as the guy you were laughing at last night at Duffs passed out on the deck. Lucky enough to be included in Sam's dream for this site and hopefully lucky enough to see it grow to the dream we both share. What are we going to do tonight Sam?

Sam Roon - Founder

Tonight I think we are going to wind up drinking Jagermeister and laughing at Jon P talking about Metal Igloos.... but before then I think we should try to hit a local show...

I am Sam Roon Enthusiastic metalhead and musician. There is nothing I can say here that you can't already read on the main page or in the mission statement. My only words personally to anyone reading this are to tell you: BE MOTIVATED. Participate. Go to shows. It all starts with you.

Stefan - Writer

Stefan hails from New York City and is founder of Deities. He has been involved in several metal bands and projects around the city, with no one creating the music he desired....he created Deities, a total metal band.....releasing their EP later this year...of recorded and live tracks....Stefan is also producer for public access show SpecterVusions and several movie shorts....and avid athlete and holds a Bachelors of Science degree.

Matt Maiden - Writer

Matt is a Long Islander working towards a Journalism degree at SUNY Purchase, as well as an avid metal fan and metal band member. He is the guitarist of a melodic death metal band, Withering Away, with all members being SUNY Purchase students. Originally dubbed Matt "Maiden," by Charlie Chinjab himself, he has an unhealthy obsession with Iron Maiden, as well as an equally unhealthy obsession for all metal.

Constantine Koutsoutis - Writer

Im 24, I was born in Queens. I really hate bees. I've lived overseas for a while in Greece, but other than that for 6 years have lived in NYC my whole life. I like subways and spend too much time riding them but that's ok because I meet a lot of interesting people on trains at 2 am. My first real concert was seeing Metallica in 1999. I drink a lot of beer and coffee and don't really sleep that much. My favorite TV show is Myth Busters and I sleep with a baseball bat under the bed.

Jim Shelley - Writer

Jim is a prolific business writer and rock and roll fanatic. After attending his first concert in 1977 he was hooked on music. Schooled in radio broadcasting (KTOY 91.7) he shook the airwaves at that Contemporary station with weekend shows highlighting 80’s rock that had the phone lines lighting up for more. He soon was terminated. Jim pursued a more White Collar career path that had him serving in Executive Capacities until 2005… when he “threw in the towel” and launched his writing business. Desiring a compliment to his Corporate writing abilities, Jim joins NYCMetal to showcase his creative writing abilities. Jim’s cliché’ motto: If it’s too loud, you’re too old.

Charlie Chinjab - Writer

Chinjab, a native New Yorker, is the founder of cr00shtube.tv, the best place to watch hardcore and post-hardcore videos on the net. He worked at the world famous punk music venue, CBGB, on and off, starting as a stage manager and working his way up to security, from age 15 until the club closed. He co-owned Eastern Threat Records which released 3 albums, and put on the popular annual hardcore/punk festival at CBGB, “Punk Olympics”. He remains a knowledgeable, but now, extremely jaded asshole with a lot of time on his hands. He is currently getting his third band off the ground.
