Dark Empire's stunning 'Humanity Dethroned' is released August 26
Dark Empire have delivered a classic metal album in 'Humanity Dethroned' with powerful, aggressive thrash riffs laced with progressive structures and harmonies and a dual vocal delivery combining epic, classic metal vocals that soar, punctuated by harsh death-like growls.
'Humanity Dethroned' represents one of the most balanced metal releases you'll ever likely to hear; brutality and harmony in one essential metal package.

Hey everyone,
what's up? Its been awhile since I've been on NYC Metal; things have been really busy and changes are afoot....so I've been emersed in all that. Pending job changes, health stuff w/loved ones, looking for a singer, money stuff, relationship stuff...etc....Been thinking that I'll do a vision quest in Death Valley this coming new year as a means of reaching for new perspective/awareness.
Plus the last several new years have started off with fires, theft, death and other forms of lo…

I’ve never given a 10 Star for a show… and this will be a 10-Star if you’ve got seats. Anywhere you have a lawn it opens up a whole new can of worms. Now…
Madison Square Garden doesn’t have a lawn… so we’re going a ten.
It has been a couple months since my last review given the fact that there were no bands I found touring New York that met my standards. Sure… there were some bands… but my pen wasn’t cooperating (ok… my laptop).

Everything's Ruined needs a new singer. Ass ripping, face melting, skull crushing metal.

Due to his school schedule, our bassist, D.O. has informed us that he will not be able to perform live with us any longer. So, with that in mind and our best wishes towards him, we seek someone from the NYC/North Jersey/Long Island area, male or female, 18-30, to play bass with us for upcoming shows. Must have own equipment (not that you need much outside of your bass, as most of the time you end up going directly into the PA anyway), must, obviously, like our music, and must be a fast learner.…

I haven’t seen Ace Frehley since 1996, when I took my twin boys (then 6) to the KISS reunion concert at Key Arena (Seattle). We were 12th row center. They had a blast and to this day, of all the shows to which they’ve been treated, they tell me it was the most spectacular show they’ve ever seen. Anyhow…

UFO has been my favorite band since 1978. Yes… there are far better bands… and I do have my favorites… and if it were a choice of going to see UFO or another of my favorites… I’d have to think about it. However… this band rocks. They have THE catalogue of material and their shows never disappoint.
I first saw UFO back in 1980. I use the word “saw” because remember… those were my experimental years. It was a summ…

Haven't been on here in a while, so a lot has happened-
Jason, our lead guitarist left the band. We quickly set to re-working some of the songs, and getting them ready for our full length album. We've got the studio booked for April, and we've got some killer new music, and some great re-worked older songs.
We've slowed down on the gigging, but still shows here and there, so keep a look out. We're angrier than we've been in a long time, so that usually makes for a good show!

Interview with Adam Fachler of Only Hell Remains
by Constantine Koutsoutis
Let’s face it, trying to make it in any sense of the word these days as a musician is hard. As if internal band conflicts and the general traditional perils of the music industry weren’t enough, the high costs of extensive touring in the US (and to an extent, the rest of the world) thanks to the rising cost of gas, the rapidly-changing face of the music industry in 2007, not to mention trying to balance a life of music a…

A Bloody Night To Remember
Big bands are always accused of being dicks to the smaller bands that open for them. Rock stories are replete with tales of snobby lead singers telling the lesser bands before them that they have to cramp into a single dressing room, and share a single bottle of water between the 4 of them. This was not that night and Carnivore is one one of those bands. We Saints were invited into the very sanctum of the dressing room marked Carnivore only, and that is were we stayed…

Rollins’ lyrical prowess was primitive and raw, working in concert with Greg Ginn’s guitar riffs, Black Flag packed the punch of a speeding loco…

Hey people. I've been in my bullshit home studio the last three weeks, recording our possible last LP for a while entitled "eXtinction." The theme behind the CD is about my personal battle with life, dealing with suicidal feelings and anger towards life and humanity. The music is almost done, and soon to start mixing down the tracks in Brooklyn, NYC at my…
